The Bills just re-signed QB Tarvaris Jackson.
Head Coach Doug Marrone:
“I spoke with Ryan (Fitzpatrick) and Tarvaris (Jackson) and told them we will have an open competition at the quarterback position – similar to what we will do at all positions on our team heading into our offseason work. I believe that our players will embrace this challenge. We are looking forward to working with our players as we prepare for the 2013 season.”
OUR INITIAL THOUGHTS:
These “Bills sign Jackson to compete with Fitz” tweets were all hung up in cyberspace since September and just hit now, right? RIGHT?

HOW LONG? HOW MUCH?
QB Tarvaris Jackson signed a one-year deal with Buffalo that could be worth up to $4.5 million. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 15, 2013

…AND DRAFT PREDICTIONS.
The biggest takeaway here is that the Bills just gave away Matt Barkley’s #7 to TJax. So rework your mock draft boards accordingly.

IN CONCLUSION:
Feedback on Tarvaris Jackson re-signing: Consensus was Gailey a buffoon for not giving Jackson a shot. Now Nix a buffoon for re-signing.

As you were.
@TrendingBuffalo I hope this is sarcasm.
The Bills as a whole were stupid to “healthy scratch” him all last year. Not a superstar by any means, but at least he seems to have SOME athletic skill, as opposed to Fitz who has NONE.
@TrendingBuffalo Hopefully this tweet is #sarcasim
