On Tuesday, there was a primary election for a US Congress seat in newly-formed NY District #27. Chris Collins won. David Bellavia lost.
I’m a registered Republican and I forgot to vote. I forget to do a lot of things these days. I forget to do them, in large part, because there’s a 6 week old human living in my house.
Here’s an excellent interview that Alan Bedenko did with Bellavia on Tuesday afternoon. Had voters heard this, I wonder if the result would have been different.
I’ll discuss this conversation and the election in general in further detail with Chris Smith on our One Thing podcast, which will be posted on Wednesday afternoon.

If you cant bother to get out and vote – Then I cant bother to listen to an old interview from someone who lost an election.
Yep, it was because of Collins’ money that had the ECGOP drooling, that is why they are going to back the Independent candidate instead of the Republican in the 147th. They were also afraid of losing their jobs. Erie County GOP is crooked & corrupt.
