Dominik Hasek is a 53.
@JayFerris He hadn’t had a chance to become a full-time starter yet. 93-94 was his breakout year, and these rosters would have been set before the season began. I just looked it up, and in his career before that point (2 seasons in Chicago, 1 in Buffalo), he was 24-14-6 in 53 games played, with a 2.89 GAA, 0.896 save percentage, and 1 shutout. He was viewed as erratic in net and unreliable as a regular starter.
You may already understand this, but I think it is interesting insight for anyone who sees your comment and thinks the gamemakers had no idea what they were doing.
